Terms.
These terms apply to the purchase and use of FIELD EXPLORER. “FIELD”, “FIELD EXPLORER”, “we” and “us” refer to the FIELD EXPLORER software and the operator of field-explorer.app, as the context requires.
1. What FIELD EXPLORER is
FIELD EXPLORER is local creative software that provides an interface for exploring and generating images with compatible machine-learning models. It is a tool for navigating and controlling model output; it is not a hosted image-generation service and does not review locally generated content.
2. Licence
A valid purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use FIELD EXPLORER on up to the number of personal computers stated at purchase, currently two unless otherwise specified.
You may not sell, rent, redistribute or share your licence key, provide the licensed software as a commercial hosted service, or bypass or disable licensing controls, except to the extent any restriction cannot lawfully be imposed.
Purchase options and upgrades
An outright licence costs AU$59 once and provides permanent licensed access. A monthly subscription costs AU$5.90 per month and renews automatically until cancelled. Both options include all future FIELD EXPLORER upgrades and allow up to two personal computers.
You can cancel at any time using Manage / Cancel subscription, the application’s licence panel, or your PayPal automatic-payment settings. Cancellation stops future renewal charges; access continues until the end of the paid period. Giving a cancellation reason is optional. Cancellation does not delete your saved creations.
A failed renewal does not extend the paid period. Subscription access ends when that period expires. Restarting a cancelled subscription requires approval of a new PayPal agreement; the first new monthly payment is charged immediately.
3. Internet connection and licence validation
Activation requires an internet connection. After activation, FIELD can continue to be used without an internet connection.
Monthly licences can be used offline until their locally recorded paid expiry. Connect to confirm each renewal. An unconfirmed renewal does not grant unlimited offline access. Outright licences retain offline use after activation.
When an internet connection is available, FIELD may contact the FIELD EXPLORER licensing service when the application starts to validate the activation. A network failure or loss of internet access does not by itself prevent an already activated copy from being used. If the licensing service explicitly reports that an activation or licence is no longer valid, FIELD may require activation again or stop licensed use.
4. Your creative work
FIELD EXPLORER does not claim ownership of prompts, images or other creative material you create with the software. Your use of generated material remains subject to applicable law and to any terms or licences attached to the model, checkpoint, reference material or other third-party material you use.
5. Third-party models and components
FIELD can work with compatible third-party machine-learning models and supporting files. A FIELD EXPLORER licence does not grant you rights to those models. You are responsible for checking and complying with the licence, acceptable-use terms and commercial-use conditions that apply to each model or third-party component you choose.
Model behaviour, output quality, hardware requirements and compatibility can change between model versions and are not controlled entirely by FIELD EXPLORER.
6. User responsibility and generated content
You control the models you load, the prompts and reference material you provide, and the outputs you create. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of FIELD EXPLORER, any third-party models, input material and generated output complies with applicable laws and third-party rights.
Machine-learning models can produce unexpected, inaccurate, offensive, unlawful or potentially infringing material. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publishing, distributing, relying on or commercially using them.
FIELD EXPLORER does not pre-screen or moderate local model output and is not a substitute for your judgement about whether an output is appropriate or lawful to use.
7. Local data and privacy
FIELD’s creative workflow is designed to remain local. The licensing service does not receive your prompts, source images or generated images. Licence, purchase, device-validation and fulfilment information is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Updates and compatibility
FIELD EXPLORER may be updated to fix bugs, improve compatibility or add features. We do not promise that every current or future third-party model, driver, GPU configuration or external dependency will remain compatible indefinitely.
9. Refunds
The Refund Policy forms part of these terms. A change-of-mind refund may be requested within 7 days only while the licence remains unactivated. Refunds or payment reversals may cause the related licence to be revoked.
10. Security and misuse
You must not use FIELD EXPLORER or the licensing service to interfere with the service, obtain another person’s licence, evade device limits, distribute unauthorised copies, or engage in unlawful activity.
11. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, FIELD EXPLORER is provided as creative software and we are not responsible for losses caused by a user’s choice of third-party model, unlawful or infringing input material, publication or commercial use of generated output, or a third-party service or model outside our control.
Any limitation in these terms operates only to the extent permitted by law and does not remove liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when FIELD EXPLORER, its licensing system or legal requirements materially change. The current version will be published on field-explorer.app. Material changes affecting an existing licence will not be used to retrospectively remove non-excludable consumer rights.
